FIELD: polymer composites. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cord of polyester or polyamide matrix (35-50 vol %) reinforced with axially oriented fibers ruptured in stretching process. Cord is fabricated by its stretching out from mentioned matrix reinforced with endless threads in direction to stretching zone where cord is heated to 316-370 C and then cooled to 4.5-10 C. Stretching is carried out to stretching degree of fibers 8.3-10 C. Length of ruptured fibers ranges from 12.7 to 152.4 mm. 85.6-95% of fibers are axially oriented with average deviation 5 deg., and 95.6-97% with average deviation 10 deg. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of cord. 4 cl, 1 tbl, 1 dwg
