FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: head has lever, clutch part mounted on a flexible shaft, and flexible member mounted on the rotatable portion. The mechanism for locking the rotatable portion of the head is made up as a hydraulic cylinder mounted inside the housing for permitting rotation. A flange is rigidly secured to one of the end faces of the hydraulic cylinder. The flange is based on a rolling bearing. The other end face is provided with a toothing that interacts simultaneously with the clutch parts of the housing and rotatable portion. The gear wheel of the rotatable portion is mounted with a spaced relation and for permitting interaction with one of the gear wheels of the driving shaft. One end face of the gear wheel of the rotatable portion interacts with the flange of the hydraulic cylinder. The other end face interacts with the flexible member. The lever is secured to the hydraulic cylinder, connected with the clutch part of the output shaft, and allows the clutch part of the output shaft to be moved away from the clutch part of the tool spindles.
