FIELD: method and devices for working of printed matter. SUBSTANCE: method for formation of groups of flat objects provides for supply of objects into corresponding flows, monitoring the presence of objects in each flow, dispensing of objects from each flow for making-up of specific set of objects by one in each group by combining a corresponding quantity of object flows. In so doing, prior to dispensing of objects for making-up sets, objects of each flow are accumulated in buffer zone, and in case of absence of object in some flow, making-up of respective group of objects is delayed up to appearance in this flow of the required object. Device for embodiment of the offered method has units for supply of objects to the position of making-up, control unit having transducers of the presence of objects in zone of monitoring, buffer chambers, actuating mechanisms of dispensing of objects to making-up position unit for control signals generation, and memory unit of formed groups.
