FIELD: handling of printed matter. SUBSTANCE: method of transformation of cascade flow of printed matter into transportation flow with forced formation, for instance, into transportation flow where each printed article is directed by grip. This is accomplished by four operations: the first turn due to which cascade flow is directed with the front edges of printed articles facing down; establishment of clock time in which interval between printed articles is equalized, increased, decreased and/or differentiated; the second turn in which cascade flow is provided with front edges of articles directed upward and reception in which printed articles separately or by groups are received by grips. The first and/or second turn may be absent. The device consists of supplying belt conveyer and withdrawing conveyer between which clock time establishment member and at least one intermediate belt conveyer are located. Clock time establishment member has stationary blocking member which retains printed articles separately or by groups and movable feeding member which raises the printed articles separately or by groups above detaining member in compliance with the established clock time. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 18 cl, 4 dwg
