FIELD: ritual accessories. SUBSTANCE: coffin has outer base and cover made from sheets of multilayer corrugated cardboard provided with fold lines. Upon folding along fold lines, sheets are fastened by flaps to connect side walls one with the other. Coffin is further provided with inner base and cover, which are nested into outer base and cover, respectively, so that flange is formed along perimeter due to difference in heights of side and end walls. Outer and inner bases and covers are manufactured from 3-, or 5-, or 7-layer corrugated cardboard or combination of these layers. Outer or inner base and cover have equal sizes and are provided with horizontal or inclined conjugational side surfaces. EFFECT: reduced production cost, convenient usage, enhanced reliability in operation and wider operational capabilities. 4 cl, 5 dwg
