SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of packaging. Package for eggs contains a tubular gasket of rectangular shape in plan with nests for laying eggs, having a horizontally located flanging along the perimeter, as well as a lid fixed on this gasket in the form of a corrugated cardboard tray turned upside down, having side flat walls located perpendicular to the upper horizontally located flat wall, while the cover is mounted on a tuberculate gasket with its side walls resting on the flange of the tuberculous gasket and fixed on this gasket. The lid is made of a sheet blank by bending its side walls from a horizontally located flat wall and gluing the flaps of two oppositely located side walls, for which these flaps are a continuation of these walls along their length, to adjacent side walls on their inner side, on which lines are made of weakened strength, directed at an angle of 45° from the free edge of these walls to the points of convergence of the kink lines of adjacent side walls.

EFFECT: improving performance by providing the ability to fold the lid while maintaining its strength and rigidity to prevent its deformation and load transfer to the eggs.
