FIELD: petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: ionic hydrogenation is carried out at 40-60 C in the presence of isooctane or isopropyl alcohol as donor of hydride ion, electrophilic catalyst BaCl2•2H2O being used. Ratio of olefin, catalyst and said donor of hydride ion is 1:(0.2-0.6):(0.3-0.5) respectively. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method.
