FIELD: coating of external surfaces of electrobeam tube videodisplays. SUBSTANCE: antistatic transparent composition comprises (%); 1-20 ethyl acetate; 0.04-9 mixture of at least two conducting compounds of metals selected from the group consisting of Sn, Sb and Fn; 0.001-2.5 acid and/or basic catalyst (chloric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, ammonia water or mixture thereof); 70-98 organic solvent (alcohol, ketone, acetate or mixture thereof), and up to 100 water balance composition is prepared by dissolving at least two metal compounds in organic solvent, evaporating the resulting solution to 50-67% concentration, adding water and acid and/or basic catalyst, dissolving individually ethyl silicate in organic solvent and mixing transparent solution and ethyl silicate solution. Videodisplay is prepared by applying composition onto screen by deposition and heat treatment at 80-490 C. EFFECT: improved properties of the transparent composition.
