FIELD: cleaning air of dust and other admixtures. SUBSTANCE: two cloths of fibrous fabric are placed on each other by their right sides and are stitched together along parallel sections by means of two rows of seams for forming wells in which mandrels or templets are inserted to obtain rhomboid form. Then this unit is moved between two pressing members provided with corrugations whose depressions receive rhomboid parts. Each pressing member consists of sections mounted on movable rods for motion between separated position when blank may move between them and closed position when blank is kept between pressing members and is pressed from the side. Pressing members are heated and fabric cloths are treated by heat and pressure to impart stiffness to fabric. At one end of blank there is flange made integral with it by pressing the material beaded outside relative to lateral surface of pressing the material beaded outside relative to lateral surface of pressing members by means of pressing plate. Fibres P84 may be used as stiffness imparting fibres, polyphenylene sulfinic fibres, polyester fibres, both separately and together with polypropylene fibres, as well as two-component fibres may be also used.
