FIELD: production of new, high-technology materials. SUBSTANCE: material comprises homogeneous mixture of organic expansible filler and organic fibers capable of undergoing intensive charring over temperature from 200 to 500 C. Addition of inorganic fibrous components increases structural integrity of material both during phase of charcoal formation up to 500 C, and during phase of charcoal oxidation at temperatures up to 1200 C. Article made of this material consists of homogeneous mixture of organic expansible filler and organic fibers capable to undergo intensive charring over temperature range 200-500 C.
