FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves catalytic chlorination of ethylene in combination with oxidative catalytic chlorination of ethylene to synthesize 1,2-dichloroethane which then is dehydroclorinated. Dehydrochlorination products were separated for the end product, unreacted 1,2-dichloroethane and organochlorine waste; the latter were separated from resinous products and fed to the hydrogenolysis stage using palladium catalyst and reaction products of hydrogenolysis stage were fed to the oxidative catalytic chlorination of ethylene to the process head. Synthesized vinyl chloride is used for polyvinyl chloride production. EFFECT: decreased ethylene and chlorine consumption, decreased waste amount to be decomposed. 1 tbl, 1 dwg
