FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: benzene is chlorinated with chlorine in the presence of catalyst. Reaction products were rectified, benzene is recyclized for chlorination, and isolated benzene polychlorides were subjected for catalytic hydrogenolysis obtaining chlorobenzene and benzene. The latter were directed for rectification stage of reaction products after benzene chlorination. EFFECT: improved method of chlorobenxene synthesis. 1 tbl
