FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: complex hardener for cores and molds is prepared by blending cupric nitrate, lignosulfonate, and water, wherein, as cupric nitrate, wastes of copper and/or its alloys treated with nitric acid are utilized with 40-65% of cupric nitrate trihydrate. Copper waste content is 20-30 wt % and that of lignosulfonate 25-30 wt %. Hardener may further contain 5-8 wt % of urea. EFFECT: reduced cost due to utilized waste. 2 cl, 2 tbl
