FIELD: thermal insulation. SUBSTANCE: polystyrene is mixed with talc and with calcium stearate, then blowing agent is added into thus prepared mixture. Quantity of said blowing agent is 12-16 mass parts per 100 mass parts of polystyrene. The process is followed by extrusion which takes place at 110-128 C and atmospheric pressure. Said mixture is preliminary smelted out at 200 C and at pressure about 140 at. Mentioned above blowing agent contains not less than 85 % of 1,1-difluoro-1-dichloroethane.
