FIELD: magnetometry, in particular, devices operating on board of a moving carrier having a proper magnetic field that is arbitrary in its characteristics. SUBSTANCE: use is made of a unit of magnetosensitive transducers consisting of component meters providing for determination of at least three different components of the summary magnetic field. Installation of an arbitrary number of arbitrarily oriented component meters is possible, which enhances the noise immunity but needs employment of additional measuring devices and use of more complicated algorithms of data processing. The above measurements are taken jointly with measurement of angles characterizing the carrier orientation in the preset coordinate system, which makes up one cycle. After a run of measurements consisting of several cycles a set of vector adiabatic equations is formulated, whose solution makes it possible to determine the unknown quantities. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 2 cl, 3 dwg
