FIELD: plastic metal working, namely, technique for separating by parts objects of military and civil equipment subjecting them to tension efforts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of subjecting object to action of breaking factor and then applying to it static or dynamic tension effort. Before applying tension effort surface layer of object to be broken is damaged; medium active relative to material of said object is applied by contact way onto freshly uncovered surface. Then object is separated by parts at applying tension effort. Surface layer may be damaged in the form of spots, continuous or intermittent lines. Relation of thickness of active medium layer to thickness of object body is equal to 1:50. Value of tension effort consists 0.05--0.7 of value of breakdown stress of object material. Surface layer may be damaged by means of applying concentrator with use of detonation universal charge. When active medium application is over, object may be soaked at acting tension effort on it or without it. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl, 3 dwg
