FIELD: building materials. SUBSTANCE: engobe includes the following components, mas. %: powdery broken glass, 40-50; sodium silicate solution, 45-55; and calcium carbonate, 1-5. Broken glass is used in the form of white opacified glass or transparent glass. Engobe may contain dyeing components. Engobe is applied to dry brick or green brick and dried and fired at temperature of 960-1000 C. Coating is chemically stable and featuring frost resistance of 35 cycles.
