= 1.402. Reagent 1: isoamyl alcohol. Reagent 2: higher nickel oxides. Process conditions: electrochemical regeneration on nickel-containing electrodes, in alkaline medium, at alternating current, at frequency 1-0.0001 Hz. Alkali and isoamyl alcohol were added during their utilization, alkali content is maintained at concentration 1-6%. Process operation is carried out by voltage value on electrodes and oxidation process is carried out at 20-80 C, at current density 0.05-0.1 A/cm2, at nickel concentration 5-10 g/l (as measured for nickel sulfate). After reaction termination the reaction mass is acidified to pH = 2.5-3.0 and isovaleric acid is isolated. Synthesized compound is used for synthesis of drugs and food additions preparing.
