FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for manufacturing a non-polarizable electrode of an electrochemical capacitor with a double electric layer with an alkaline electrolyte, and can be used for development and manufacture of electrochemical capacitors for vehicles. Increase in capacity and cycling of electrolytic capacitor with non-polarizable electrode is technical result, which is achieved due to the fact that the porous base of the electrode in the form of a composite electrochemical coating from lithium hydroxide on the surface of a steel strip is formed during cathodic electrochemical deposition of a coating from a nickel-containing electrolyte containing, g/l: sulphamic nickel 100–120, boric acid 30–40, carbonyl nickel powder 3–5, at pH 4.5–5, pulse current at current density 100–120 mA/cm2, pulse and pause time 0.5 s for 15–20 minutes, with subsequent cathode electrochemical treatment of the tape with pulse current at current density of 150–200 mA/cm2, pulse and pause time of 0.1 s for 30 minutes.
EFFECT: increased thickness of nickel hydroxide layer increases resource stability of electrochemical capacitor.
