FIELD: means of individual protection. SUBSTANCE: protective panel has a stack of layers of aramidic stitched by aramidic thread with formation of through ducts between the layers intended to place high-strength members 3, located with an overlap of gaps 6 between members 3 of adjacent layers; the layers of the fabric stack are stitched by separate loops 4 of threads; and high-strength members 3 are made in the form of cylindrical steel rods and positioned with tension of aramidic threads of loops 4 and fabric threads of the stack layers. The stitching interval of aramidic thread loops equals 0.8 to 3.2 of the rod diameter. Fabric layers and cylindrical steel rods are made in volume ratio 1:2 - 1:5 at a total surface density of stack material within 12,000 to 18,000 g/sq.m. EFFECT: reduced weight and enhanced bullet-resistance properties. 4 dwg
