FIELD: defence engineering. SUBSTANCE: shot uses propellant charge 3, shell 4, releasable pallet 5 installed on rear part 6 of shell 4, mechanism 7 for release of pallet 5 in the form of accumulating chamber 8 formed by piston 11 and pallet 5 with valve 10. Pallet 5 is furnished with pressure stabilizer 12 made in the form of a pair of threshold valves 13 and 14 adjusted to the same pressure arranged diametrically opposite each other in cylindrical wall 15 of pallet 5. The method of shot firing consists in firing of shell from the gun barrel and stabilization of pressure in the accumulating chamber before the release of the pallet to a value determined by relation: P = K•Ffr/Spist, where P - pressure in accumulating chamber just after stabilization of pressure; Ffr - frictional force of pallet movement on shell at the instant of pressure stabilization; Spist - area of shell rear end part in the form of piston; K=1.2 to 1.4 - coefficient of reliable pallet release.
