FIELD: electrical engineering; substations using shunt capacitor banks. SUBSTANCE: reactive-power corrector has logical unit and capacitor bank disconnection sensor. Logical unit is made for connection to control bushing through turning-on switching device of power supply in case of arrival of two signals at its input from above-mentioned sensor; the latter is made in the form of series-connected reactor and resistor for building up output signals when current through capacitor bank and its derivative equal zero. EFFECT: improved reliability due to off-line voltage reduction across capacitors and switch upon device disconnection. 4 cl, 2 dwg
