FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: preliminarily made half-shells of corresponding dimensions are connected to each other to form a united shell. This continuous shell can be made of concrete or preferably from warmth-keeping material such as foam plastic. Ready shell is placed in center of mould so that equal air clearances are maintained between shell and mould walls and bottom. Moulding space of mould corresponds to shaping of given block. Concrete mix is poured into mould containing shell and mould is closed with cover. After hardening of concrete mix, mould is opened and ready block is obtained possessing new and higher heat-conserving properties. Construction block can be of rectangular parallelepiped shape having its body proper with sides. Its two large opposite sides have semicylindrical slots with rounded ends. Blocks can be produced in five versions according to its configuration and details. EFFECT: reduced production cost, high warmth-keeping properties. 4 cl, 15 dwg
