FIELD: mechanical engineering; volumetric convertible rotary hydraulic machines. SUBSTANCE: impeller is placed in center of machine, in cylindrical cavity; separating wheels are installed about impeller at equal angular distances and each of them has on its rim portion one or more involute depressions; working fluid inlet and outlet channels are as many as there are separating wheels; these channels are alternating in tandem; fluid inlet and outlet channels of each pair are arranged symmetrically relative to plane crossing impeller axis of revolution and that of respective separating wheel; grooves are provided in machine case on slip surface of impeller tooth butt ends symmetrically to each plane crossing axes of revolution of impeller and each separating wheel; grooves are made along initial circumference line of impeller teeth of involute profile; groove width does not exceed height of impeller teeth.
