FIELD: wind power engineering. SUBSTANCE: mounted on bearing frame are cylindrical casings built up of top and bottom parts provided with slits receiving windwheels with blades on horizontal shaft. Horizontal shaft of windwheel are combined by means of half-couplings, one end of combined shaft is coupled with generator and other end carries brake mechanism and pulley. Attached to bearing frame is vertical shaft with gear wheel whose loose end enters bush with bearings; bush, in its turn, is joined with support. The latter mounts motor with reduction gear whose shaft carries gear wheel engaged with that of vertical shaft through chain. Chute carrying power able and control cable is placed around support. Each casing accommodates horizontal shaft with gear wheels attached to bearing frame; one shaft extension is joined with shaft of other casing through half-couplings; one of combined shaft ends is coupled with motor and reduction gear. Two groups of flaps placed on shelves inside casing are built up of separate plates secured on carrying cleats provided with wheels rotating about axes. Flats are combined with horizontal shaft carrying gear wheels by means of chain; their movement along sleeves closes or opens case slits whenever necessary. Air flow and windmill movement about axis is controlled by means of pressure sensor, multisection switch, limit switches, reversible magnetic starters, and bush-button stations.
