FIELD: wind power engineering. SUBSTANCE: windmill has cylindrical casing built up of top and bottom parts with slits accommodating windwheel with curved blades mounted on horizontal shaft. Horizontal shaft placed inside casing carries gear wheels and is fixed on one end on beating support and on other end it is connected to geared motor. In addition, casing houses flaps inserted between windwheel blades and casing wall on shelves; they are assembled of separate plates attached to carrying cleats which mount wheels on shaft. Flaps are arranged in two groups over perimeter and joined together on either side with chain and secured on shaft carrying gear wheels. In addition, diffusers are attached to top and bottom parts of casing at point of slits. One end of horizontal shaft of windwheel is coupled to generator and other end carries brake mechanism and pulley. Provision is made for automatic and nonautomatic control of wind current coming onto windwheel blades when wind mill is running. EFFECT: improved design. 5 cl, 9 dwg
