FIELD: wind-power engineering. SUBSTANCE: windmill is provided, in addition, with cylindrical shell built up of top and bottom parts with slits and shield hinged to each of parts that opens, if necessary. Shell accommodates windwheel with curved blades mounted on horizontal shaft. One end of shaft carries electric generator and other end, brake mechanism and coupling. Windmill is driven by electric motor or internal-combustion engine connected via pulley and belt transmission to coupling. The latter has pulley with internal cylindrical drum that has bushing and ports receiving coupling shoes. Drum bushing enters hole of bearings mounted in pulley seat; internal wall is attached to windwheel shaft. Coupling is provided with sealing cap. EFFECT: provision for automatic and nonautomatic control affording desired speed of windwheel rotation. 3 cl, 6 dwg
