AUTOMOBILE PORTABLE LIGHT Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; lighting devices to provide directed light beam supplied by automobile storage battery for use at repairs on the road and under other conditions. SUBSTANCE: portable light has housing accommodating lamp holder and incandescent lamp electrically coupled through cord and plug with supply source, lamp holder flange connected with housing by screws, reflector arranged around incandescent lamp, change-over switch installed on housing and spring wire clip for fastening the light in place. Spring wire clip of symmetrical shape is fitted by pins on ends into holes of supports made in form of two bushings of two different diameters with projections and slots on outer end face arranged in sockets at side of housing in one plane with cord through 90 degrees, engaging with surfaces of seats by projections and smaller diameter cylindrical surface. Slots of supports engaging with wire clip are of semiround shape and are arranged square to each other. proposed light provides fixing of clip relative to housing in three positions, insulates clip from housing and ensures directed light beam. Light reflector is detachable owing to screws on flange and arc slots on reflector. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, improved convenience of use. 2 cl, 7 dwg
