FIELD: light engineering, applicable both on open sites with explosion-dangerous zones and in rooms having an explosion-dangerous atmosphere with mixtures of gases, vapors or dust.
SUBSTANCE: the luminaire has a casing with a flange connected to the flange of a transparent cap with the aid of a ring component and a lamp-holder with the current-conducting part fastened inside the casing. The casing is made detachable of two parts, and the flange formed on the detachable part of the casing has a circular protrusion made for embracing the side part of the flange of the transparent cap by it and connection to the ring component by fasteners. At least part of the surfaces of the flanges facing one another is interconnected hermetically.
EFFECT: enhanced convenience of use, reliability and explosion-safety.
