METHOD OF CONDITIONING AIR AND AIR CONDITIONER FOR REALIZATION OF THIS METHOD Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: air-conditioning systems. SUBSTANCE: method consists in supply of air, cleaning, preliminary temperature treatment, sprinkling, final adjustment of air parameters and discharge of air from air conditioner. Sprinkling fluid is used as intermediate heat-transfer agent. Cleaning of air, preliminary temperature treatment and sprinkling are effected simultaneously. Heat-and-mass transfer and dust catching processes are performed in mode of gas-liquid emulsion at velocity of incoming flow of air in free section of apparatus of 4 to 20 m/s. Air conditioner proposed for realization of this method has housing with air inlet and outlet branch pipes, heat exchanger for preliminary temperature treatment of air, device for supplying the sprinkling fluid and heat exchanger for final adjustment of air parameters. Heat exchanger for preliminary temperature treatment of air having sprinkled heat exchange surface is located before heat exchanger for final adjustment of air parameters. Separator for separating the air from sprinkling fluid is located between these heat exchangers. Device for feeding the sprinkling fluid is located before heat exchanger of preliminary temperature treatment of air due to which sprinkling fluid is fed to incoming flow in way with it; gas distributing grate is mounted between them.
