FIELD: heat-mass exchange facilities. SUBSTANCE: absorber has housing 1 with installed in tandem gas cleaning stages, inlet and outlet branch pipes, 2 and 3, respectively. Each stage of absorber has distributing screen 4, attachment 5 made up of staggered rows of horizontally arranged flat-oval tubes communicating with source of clean heat carrier and directed with their bigger axis along flow; it has also sorbent atomizer 7. Gas stages communicate through insert 8. Entry 9 of each stage is made in form of converging tube accommodating sorbent atomizer 7 in its space. Transfer converging tube 10 with fitted on cone 11 is secured in space of insert 8. Ratio of tube section oval smaller axis to larger axis is 0.2-0.7, and tube-to-tube distance is from b to 2b, where b length of smaller axis of tube section. Distance between rows of tubes is within 2 and 10 mm. EFFECT: provision of optimum relationship between gas cleaning and hydraulic resistance of apparatus. 2 dwg
