FIELD: heating water in heating systems and hot water supply systems. SUBSTANCE: solar energy collector has housing with heat-insulating base and transparent coat forming chamber where absorber is mounted; absorber is made in form of flow-through passages which are brought in communication with collecting zigzag pipe lines on two sides with inlet and outlet branch pipes connected to their tops. Passages and pipe lines are formed by laying the plates made from thin-sheet material one on another; plates are fastened over perimeter and between passages and heat-insulating gaskets are introduced. Absorber is made in form of duct. Heat-insulating gaskets are fitted on adjacent edges of side walls of absorber and housing. Flexible transparent coat is located on heat-insulating gaskets; heat-insulating base has front reflecting surface. Untight areas in housing and in absorber may be sealed up means of paste or adhesive. Front reflecting surface of heat-insulating base may be made from "carymat". Heat-insulating base may be connected with base of absorber forming air gap between them. Flexible transparent coat may be made in form of pack tightened on housing forming air gap with rear surface of heat-insulating base. Coat may be reinforced. Side walls of absorber may be connected with respective wall of housing forming air gap between them. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 7 cl, 1 dwg
