RECEIVING PATH OF RADAR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2075762 C1

FIELD: radiolocation, underwater acoustics, surveillance radars providing surveillance of ground objects and objects close to ground. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for increased reliability of detection of objects with small effective reflecting surface in nearest visual range of radar. Receiving path of radar incorporates intermediate frequency amplifier with time adjustment of gain factor, first matched filter, first amplitude detector with videoamplifier and first threshold unit connected in series, former of control voltage which output is connected to input of intermediate frequency amplifier with time adjustment of gain factor. It also includes amplitude limiter, second matched filter, amplifier with automatic gain control, second amplitude detector with videoamplifier and second threshold unit connected in series as well as OR gate which first and second inputs are connected to outputs of first and second threshold units correspondingly. Input of amplitude limiter is connected to input of intermediate frequency amplifier with time adjustment of gain factor and is input of receiving path of radar which output is output of OR gate.
