FIELD: light-sensitive emulsions. SUBSTANCE: solutions of gelatin, alkali metal halides, and silver nitrate are continuously mixed under pressure and entered into a sealed chamber in which reduced pressure promotes boiling up of solutions at given components temperature. Temperature of initial solutions and pressure drops in sealed chamber and solutions are such that, in the region of input openings in sealed chamber, boiling up solutions are pulverized into fine mist in free space of chamber. When freely falling, solutions are being mixed and settled down in bottom part of sealed chamber giving rise to an homogeneous mixture where chemical reactions proceed. EFFECT: simplified procedure, reduced power consumption, and improved quality of emulsions. 1 dwg
