FIELD: physics, photo.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to photography, particularly, to synthesis of photographical halide-silver emulsions by controlled two-jet crystallisation. Industrial synthesis in 500-2000 l units comprises unit loading with initial chemicals, nucleation, Ostwald ageing and build-up of microcrystal shells. Proposed process allows making of photo emulsions from both cubic and plate-like crystals with improved granulometric characteristics, particularly, mean equivalent diameter makes 0.5-1.2 mcm; size variation factor makes 11-15%, crystallographic homogeneity factor makes 97-99%.
EFFECT: higher resolution capacity of photographic films.
