FIELD: primary petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: in order to increase demulsifying activity and demulsification velocity at low specific supply rates in high- temperature processes of deep dehydration and desalting of sour and high-sulfur crude oils with various-type and mixed emulsions, to reduce corrosive effect on structure materials of the oil treatment plant equipment, to lower thickening temperature, and to retain demulsifying activity upon long storage, nonionic demulsifier is utilized which is (i) bulk copolymer of propylene and ethylene oxides with narrow distribution of molecules according to their oxyethylated chain length, or above said bulk copolymer combined with high-boiling fractions, or copolymer- morpholine mixture, and (ii) methanol-water mixture at volume methanol to water ratio 4:1. When 3-8 g of composition per 1 t of oil is applied, complete dehydration of oil is achieved with simultaneous full removal of particulate material and desalting degree of oil 1 mg/l or less. In this case pollution of drainage water from the plant is 2-3.3 times less than permissible amount. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics. 5 tbl
