FIELD: primary petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: demulsifier contains high-boiling fractions and ethylene glycol-based bulk copolymer of propylene and ethylene oxides. At optimum ratio of components in processes of deep dehydration and desalting of oils with various-type emulsions, sour and high-sulfur oils, complete dehydration of oil and desalting to 1.0-1.5 mg/l is achieved, whereas corrosion velocity of carbon steels in demulsifier solutions diminished by a factor of 7- 10. Toxic properties of demulsifier are relatively low. EFFECT: improved activity and reduced noxious side effects. 4 tbl
