FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: gasifier has main housing, main through air duct with diffuser and air flow regulator, fuel evaporating device placed in one housing with float chamber and arranged between main through air duct and float chamber combined with fuel bath. Ring and longitudinal slots are made on main housing for communication with channel through which air is fed into fuel evaporating device. Air flow regulator is made in form of cup with cylindrical wall and upper bottom, with longitudinal cuts on wall and in form of shutoff member with shaped working surface placed inside cup and spring-loaded relative to its end face. Cup and shutoff member are installed for movement coaxially with diffuser for overlapping the diffuser by shutoff member and overlapping ring slot by cup wall. Tapering portion of diffuser is made in form of hollow torus-shaped member whose outer surface is mated with working surface of shutoff member, and space is placed in communication with fuel-air mixture delivery channel, and through holes on outer surface, with main through air duct.
