FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: spent lubricating oil is treated with amino alcohol in amount of 0.1-2.0 vol% calculated for initial stock predissolved in isopropyl alcohol in 1.0-0.5 volumetric ratio. Treatment is carried out under stirring at ratio of not greater than 60 rpm at temperature not higher than 50 C. The resulting sediment is then settled and separated. Prior to being settled, mixture of spent oil with amino alcohol is preferably subjected to treatment with magnetic field having magnetic induction of 0.8-1.5 Tesla.
