FIELD: fish rearing. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cylindrical container with conical bottom and drain branch pipe, separator mounted within container for motion in vertical plane and provided with opening for passage of fish of predetermined size. Separator is formed as cone oriented upward with its apex. Apparatus is further provided with netted insert for reception and withdrawal of sorted out fishes. Separator has sealing layer extending along base perimeter. Opening is made in apex end of separator. Netted insert may be made cylindrical, with diameter equal to that of container, and may have conical bottom with opening, tightening cord for closing opening, rubber ring and spring for fixing it relative to separator. EFFECT: simplified construction and manufacture method, increased efficiency in selecting fishes with different sensitivity for oxygen deficiency in water. 2 cl, 1 dwg
