FIELD: filtering of liquids. SUBSTANCE: filtering element has central perforated tube and external perforated shell. Placed between the tube and the shell is laterally folded filtering screen. Distance between the folds decreases in the direction of liquid flow. Relation between height and number of folds, height of filtering element and thickness of filtering element of screen is given in the description of the invention.
