FIELD: foundry; applicable in production of solid highly tight iron casting without sinkheads. SUBSTANCE: after pouring of molten iron into mold, it is given rotary motion round horizontal axis with angular velocity of 1-60 revolutions per minute. This formation of sink hole separated with hard connector from nonsolidified region of casting in which at the stage of eutectic crystallization excessive volume appears. Owing to this, excessive volume fills shrinkage cavity but it does not result in exterior expansion of casting. This is why the iron castings have no sinkheads. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
