FIELD: production of cast sleeve-type crucibles for melting aluminum and zinc alloys in different industry branches.
SUBSTANCE: casting mold is poured in vacuum at remaining pressure 10-2 and 10 -4 Hg. At first metal doze is poured in quantity consisting of 15 - 35% of the whole mass of casting. Pouring is realized into stationary casting mold at speed of metal feed 10 - 16 kg/s. Melt metal is cured for 6 - 12 s in order to form bottom portion of casting. Then centrifugal machine is operated and its revolution number is increased up to 250 - 500 rev/min. Remaining mass of melt metal is poured at speed 15 - 22 kg/s for forming lateral surface of crucible.
EFFECT: reduced number of gaseous and shrinkage origin flaws of metal melt in crucible, enhanced strength of crucible itself.
