FIELD: electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of production of liquids reversibly changing their physical characteristics under action of electric field. Usage of fibres of polyacrylonitrile or rejects of specified fibers pyrolised in atmosphere of argon at 400-450 C in the capacity of thickening dispersive phase and transformer oil as dielectric medium with following relation of components, per cent by mass: pyrolised polyacrylonitrile fibres 5.0-40.0, transformer oil being the balance. Static voltage of flow of electrorheological liquid with intensity of field 1.4 MV/m amounts to 50-2490 Pa within temperature interval from 20 to 120 C. EFFECT: enlargement of temperature range of serviceability of electrorheological liquids. 3 cl, 2 tbl
