FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: centrifuge has melting bath, rotor mounted above melting bath and connected with drive for effectuating rotational and vertical motions, filter fixed on drive and composed of two compressed cones. Lower cone is made from sectors pivotally fixed on larger base of upper cone and connected through connecting rod gear with central stem and mechanism, which moves stem along rotor axis. Method involves introducing wastes into metal melt; heating in metal melt and conducting centrifugal filtering in the layer of covering flux; providing rotation of wastes prior to discharge of outside flux layer. Lead-bismuth alloy containing 48-63% by weight of bismuth is preferably used as metal melt. Polymethyl phenylsilicone liquid may be used as flux. EFFECT: increased efficiency in extracting nonferrous metals from wastes. 4 cl, 6 dwg
