FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, heavy-duty vacuum cleaners. SUBSTANCE: vacuum cleaner has housing with brush and branch pipe communicated with suction cavity of housing. Brush has two rows of members connected to form closed construction. Space between two rows is communicated with suction cavity of housing and space defined by inner row of members is isolated from suction cavity so that additional head cavity communicated with atmosphere is defined. It allows area supposed for cleaning by brush to be increased and area of head, below which high vacuum is created, to be reduced, since such vacuum is retained only in space between rows of members. Pressure close to atmospheric is set in space defined by inner row of brush. It is recommended that inner row of members be made more dense than outer row to increase reinforcing effect.
