METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROXIMATE ANALYSIS OF HEART RHYTHM Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: patient is subjected to examination to record his (her) electrocardiogram, histogram of R-R intervals, maximum and minimum durations of R-R intervals, their difference, histogram mode and pulsogram. Step of recorded histogram can be varied by presetting required measurement accuracy of R-R intervals duration as function of spread in R-R intervals durations, thus permitting to achieve optimum resolution of histogram. Electrocardiogram and static parameters of intervalogram are displayed on liquid-crystal screen of portable self-contained heart rhythm analyzer. Apparatus comprises additional electrodes for recording electrocardiograms from patient's fingers or toes. Method and apparatus make it possible to analyze rhythm of heart contractions under extra-hospital conditions. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 8 cl, 3 dwg
