FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring and accumulating cardiointerval data during given time interval, building cardiointerval distribution histogram, measuring cardiointerval set mode and amplitude, determining histogram spread and calculating stress index interpreted in terms of patient stress state. Cardiac intervalogram is built and its spectrum is determined on given time interval. Low frequency spectrum area modes, frequencies and power densities corresponding to them are selected. Spectrum mode values identification matrices on frequency and spectral density levels are built from the received data. The identification matrices are indicative of regulatory system activity or degradation degree in rest state or under various actions like physical loading, drug therapy, psychoemotional stimulation. Cardiac rhythm modes adjacent frequency correlations and spectral power density values are determined as scaling parameters informative of homeostasis desynchronosis in human organism.
