FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding loose powdered iron charge through indirect heating chamber divided into heating, reduction and cooling zones; providing mixing of powdered iron charge in at least reduction zone where reduction temperature of 800-950 C is set; continuously introducing fresh reducing gas into reduction zone to control dew point of furnace atmosphere.
