FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used during manufacturing of iron powders by method of iron-carbon melt dispersion by compressed air for manufacturing of geometrically-complex products of structural, antifriction and electrotechnical purpose. It is dispersed prepared iron-carbon melt, containing 3.9-4.3 wt % of carbon by compressed air into water with receiving of powder-raw product, allowing correlation of concentration of oxygen to carbon, which is 1.8-2.2, which then is dehydrated, dried and grinned up to the particles size not more than 0.25 mm. Received powder-raw product is annealed in furnace at 950-1000°C during 1.5-2 hours in layer of height 25-35 mm on continuously moving band in gas medium with dew point not higher -25°C. Gas, containing not less than 70 vol. % of hydrogen, not more than 28 vol. % of nitrogen, the rest are - admixtures, including not more than 1.1 vol. % of methane and not more than 4 mg/nm3 of ammonia, are fed into furnace countercurrent in amount 120-180 nm3 per 1 t of powder-raw product.
EFFECT: reduction of power inputs, improvement of engineering-and-economical performance of equipment operation and simplification of receiving method of air-atomised iron powder at keeping of its high consumer properties.
